Paul Edwards
Federal politics is often aggressive and combative but there’s a softer side that most voters aren’t aware of. Parliamentary friendship groups are made up of MPs and senators from different parties and backgrounds, helping raise community awareness of specific issues. There are 65 different Parliamentary friendship groups. One of them is the Parliamentary Friends supporting Prostate Cancer Awareness. Jason Clare MP is the Deputy Chair of the Parliamentary Friends supporting Prostate Cancer Awareness. You can read a speech that he made last September supporting Prostate Cancer Awareness Month by clinking on this link. It’s great to see someone spreading the message in Canberra.
