I'm aware of several clinical trials in Australia where they are testing for Circulating Tumour Cells.

 

Does anyone know where you can get a test done in Australia for Circulating Tumour Cells without needing to be on a clinical trial?

For the past 12 months my Medical Oncologist hass been Professor Paul De Souza, kogarah Sydney. He worked with the well known Dr Myers in the US for a time.  Very pleased with him. I was not castrate resistant then, he has arranged for blood to be collected twice since and said that it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

i will see him next Tuesday and ask your question.

The blood samples were collected for research, i believe at the Ingham Institute. We do not know of any place in Victoria, it may be early times for that. Thank you for the earlier post about isolating the tumor cells, i did share that,
