    The tumour trail in blood

    Click on this link for an interesting article from the journal, Nature, about how liquid biopsies can detect cancer signs from a blood sample, without the need for invasive procedures. But further work is needed before they can become reliable diagnostic tools.
  2. In case you missed last night's Channel 9 news, there was an item about a new MRI technique which will improve diagnosis of prostate cancer, particularly in lymph nodes. The research is being conducted at Brisbane's Wesley Hospital. Click on this link to read about the new technique. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a scan used for a medical imaging procedure. An MRI uses a magnetic field and radio waves to take pictures of the body's interior.
  3. I'm aware of several clinical trials in Australia where they are testing for Circulating Tumour Cells. Does anyone know where you can get a test done in Australia for Circulating Tumour Cells without needing to be on a clinical trial?
